 My name is Michael Smith, I am a proud husband and father to 2 teen/adults. I'm originally from Washington State but now a Las Vegas resident since 2002.

Without any formal training, art has always been a part of my life, from sketching cars at the early age of 6 to eventually picking up my first paintbrush and begin laying acrylic paint on canvas in 2014 at age 42.

Since then, sketching and painting are my main mode of art just as color pencils and markers as well.  I am now beginning to dabble into the  digital art medium, another learning curve for me yet, met with the same enthusiasm as I did painting.

I don't exactly have a standard or type of art I create though I gravitate towards pop art as ideas or realistic images; really anything is fair game.  I will say my attention to detail, consideration of perspective and utilizing immense research on subjects or ideas, are trademarks I've developed over the years. Despite using references of any type, I can also formulate ideas and go from there.  If there's enough inspiration or even an urge, I then allow my creative side to play itself out.

Outside of art I enjoy being with family and friends, traveling, football(go Niners!), music, jiu jitsu.

My hope is to share my vision and creativity with my art for others to experience and feel their enjoyment within it!
